Over the years we’ve matched more than a few coloured sealants! Such has the popularity grown of getting very close (if not 100%) exact matches of silicone or other mastic sealants to substrates, we understand the importance in offering options and have continued the trend, constantly expanding our colour selection. We’re proud to say that we officially stock the largest colour range of silicone sealants in the UK, FACT! In the first instance, a very successful method of matching colours is to, either post a physical sample to the sales team or bring a physical sample into our showroom counter in Chingford (North-East London) and our experienced & knowledgable team will do their very best, using our vast array of silicone mastic sealant colour charts to match the colour you require. This could be a small section of a frame, tile, chip of stone, brick or anything that can actually be used as a reference to match a colour to (we’ve even had dust sent in an envelope and sorted it 👍) Although it’s never, ever a fair depiction of the true & accurate colour, occasionally, customers prefer to simply send a picture via email showing the colour they’re trying to match and we can do our best to match against the image on our computer screens, however, this is far from fool-proof and precaution should be taken using this method!

As said before, over the years we’ve matched a mastic sealant colour or 2! Such has the popularity grown of getting very close (if not 100%) exact matches of silicone or other mastic sealants to substrates, we understand the importance in offering options and have continued the trend, constantly expanding our colour selection including the addition of Parasilico AM 85-1 a specialist range of specific RAL referenced, silicone sealants. The RAL number system is one of the most commonly used colour references in the UK building and interior trades having gained popularity in other parts of Europe as a complete solution for matching elements of construction from frames to extrusions and fittings. In 1927 the German Reichs-Ausschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung (Imperial Commission for Delivery Terms and Quality Assurance) invented a collection of forty colours under the name of “RAL 840”. The numbers then evolved to uniformly 4 digits with tints constantly added to the collection. As well as the comprehensive RAL specific sealant range on offer, we consistently match customers RAL requirements to products from our stock by using our colour charts against official RAL charts. So successful is this system of sealant colour matching that we invested heavily on stock of actual RAL charts to sell (click here to see). If the RAL colour needed isn’t available in either the Parasilico or any other stocked range, then rest assured we have a cost-effective option for exact mastic sealant colour matching see further down for more information.
Often times we receive enquiries from customers requiring a perfect, EXACT match for a sealant to their bespoke door frames or unique paint. Whether it’s a bathroom suite, kitchen worktop, wet room tiles, window frames, wall to wall or floor joints in uPVC, brickwork, plastic, timber, metal or natural stone or indeed, any other gap or joint internally or externally that needs to be identically colour matched and sealed, it’s officially possible to get a exact colour match in either a high modulus or low modulus silicone sealant (or even a hybrid polymer sealant should you wish) All that’s needed for the manufacturers super computer to achieve an exact colour match is a physical sample (at least thumbnail size) literally a fleck of paint would suffice. As this is a premium service, there is a premium cost involved in smaller quantities (minimum order of 10 x cartridges) but the cost is reduced significantly if larger quantities are required. For instance, we’ve supplied mastic applicator firms 20 x box quantities of a certain coloured external weatherproof silicone sealant to match Marley Cedral Boards on a new build complex. There is also a longer lead-time of approximately 4-6 x weeks for an exact coloured sealant to be produced after the proof has been approved, so its always wise to order well in advance of your job.
